Fashion Traffic sponsor and speak at TLL6x6
Blog,The team here at Fashion Traffic are delighted to announce the we are head sponsors of the Digital Communications event TLL6x6 taking place in London this evening.
The event is made up of 6 speakers each taking to the stage for six minutes to talk about their area of expertise, followed by an extensive Q&A where the audience can pick their brains and gain as much knowledge as possible to implement with their own clients and brands. As well as having the chance to hear from the industry leaders, this event is also donating all its profits to the Great Ormond Street Hospital which is a fantastic charity helping children in need.
This is a double whammy for Fashion Traffic, as our very own Chris Bishop, Director within Fashion Traffic (and also CEO & Founder of 7thingsmedia) will be speaking at the event. His talk on ‘Your content distribution sucks’, looks at the way in which brands, publishers and agencies send and receive content that is stuck in the dark ages and will be talking the audience through innovative ways of connecting with their audience.
As Director within Fashion Traffic and founding 7thingsmedia Chris’ knowledge within the digital world is endless. His career began in online media in 1999 as publisher and owner of an online sports network, from there he was one of four people to graduate in the UK’s first e-business degree. After graduating, he held digital roles at Johnson & Johnson, TradeDoubler, Hotel Chocolat and House of Fraser before setting up 7thingsmedia in April 2009. In 2013 7thingsmedia bought a stake in fashion media marketplace Fashion Traffic. In December 2011 Chris was named in the VOGUE annual list as one of the 100 most influential people in fashion online.
As well as Chris, there are 5 other influential speakers speaking at the TLL6x6 event tonight, each discussing different topics within the Digital industry which are:
Zak Edwards – Founder and MD of PrezzyBox – How We Built Our Brand Through Online Marketing
Molly Flatt – Word of Mouth Evangelist at 1000heads – The Power of WoM
Andrew Grill – CEO of Kred – The Power of Influence
Alex Myers – Managing Director at Manifest Communications – Disruption: Getting Your Brand Noticed
James Whatley – Head of Social Media at Ogilvy (Soho Square) – Social Strategy
Chris Bishop – CEO and Founder of 7thingsmedia and Director of Fashion Traffic – ‘Your content distribution sucks’
Tickets for tonight’s event are almost sold out, so if you haven’t got yours then be sure to snap them up here. If you can’t make it, don’t worry, you can follow us on Twitter for minute by minute updates on this wonderful event, using the hashtag #TLL6x6.
Thanks, Fashion Traffic.
Atelier-To-Go Exclusive Fashion Traffic Interview
Blog,
For those who haven’t heard of Atelier-To-Go, imagine a boutique where there are stunning hand picked pieces from the very best designers, on a site that is beautifully presented and a team dedicated to giving the customer what they want; no need to imagine it, it’s here and it’s a brand new site called Atelier-To-Go which we are very proud to have on our platform.
To introduce you further to Fashion Traffic’s newest advertiser, CEO Jacqueline Stuart was kind enough to give us an exclusive interview after the launch party held at the the beautiful Sanderson Hotel.
FT: Obviously we love Atelier-To-Go, but for those who might not have heard of you before how would you describe your brand?
JS: The idea of Atelier-To-Go is that it’s like shopping with your cool but fun best friend. The aim is to look glossy but the tone by contrast is colloquial and friendly. We are a magazine and content led site – we want to have the cool factor of Elle, the accessibility of InStyle and the chattiness of Grazia. In fact, we are lucky enough to be working with Fashion Editors from all three magazines.
FT: The collections you feature are so beautiful, what’s your inspiration?
JS: Thank you! The inspiration for the SS13 Curated Collections was Palm Beach & St.Tropez in the 60′s and 70′s – languid, effortless glamour, up-do’s and winged eyeliner, socialites and heiresses like Slim Keith & Babe Paley.
Every season, we will be referencing a trend for our collections – we are planning a cracking one for AW13 so watch out !
FT: How do you decide which designers collections will be featured and how do you predict who’s trending?
JS: We look for designers that share a clean, contemporary and unfussy aesthetic, who reference the trends but aren’t a slave to them. We also look for a boutique brand rather than super high end price point. Plus we look for pieces that are eminently wearable for everyday life rather than the red carpet.
FT: Do you think you’ll ever design your own range?
JS: I would love to think that could be part of our evolution.
FT: Where did the name Atelier-To-Go come from?
JS: I wanted to show that we were a cool, contemporary label for busy girls on the go – so ‘to go’ meaning to take away and ‘atelier’ being the French word for a designers studio.
FT: You worked with The Apartment at London Fashion Week, how was that?
JS: It was great fun! Abi Marvel (who is behind the initiative) has shown great chutzpah in organising the whole venture and got some great bloggers and other brands on board. We were very pleased by the reception we got from the bloggers who came along too – they styled our “Atelier Girl” and some of the looks really were quite something. A real breath of fresh air.
FT: What’s next for ATG?
JS: To keep evolving and improving! We have lots of exciting plans in the pipeline and – as a multi-platform fashion site – lots of ways we can innovate.
Shop Atelier-To-Go now and follow them on Twitter here for updates and exclusive previews.

Affiliate Window Fashion Focus 2013
Blog,
Industry events where advertisers and publishers come together are always fun, especially when they are held at a venue as beautiful as the Board of Directors on Pall Mall in central London. On Tuesday it was the Affiliate Window annual Fashion Focus which showcases some of the the advertisers they work with along with their top performing publishers. We were lucky enough to get an invite and meet with advertisers we think our publishers would love to promote (watch this space). Brands such as Goddiva, Gorgeous Couture, and The Hut were all there showing their latest collections and all were very impressive!
With talks from Dutch based but now UK fashion focused content site Fashionhick on what publishers want and Affiliate Window Account Managers giving 2012 stats, it only confirms for us that the new tools we’re already working on will help benefit both our publishers and brands.
With mobile and tablet sales rocketing we’re expecting the same this year so to ensure that your audience will be click happy when using them means your site must be compatible. The stats are pretty impressive when it comes to the mobile/tablet sector which we’ll be speaking about soon it really is the future.
Keep following Fashion Traffic on Twitter and Facebook for daily updates because the new site is just the start for things of come.
Thanks,
Fashion Traffic.
